What is cat sudoku?
Cat sudoku keeps the best idea of sudoku, exactly one of something in every row and column, and swaps the digits for cats. The board is split into color regions, and each region needs exactly one cat too. The twist is personal space: no two cats may touch, not even at a corner.
There is no arithmetic and nothing to memorize. Each puzzle is a chain of small deductions: this region only fits here, so that row is taken, so this square is out.
Boards that grow with you
- Levels 1–10: 5×5 boards.
- Levels 11–25: 6×6.
- Levels 26–50: 7×7.
- Levels 51–100: 8×8.
- Levels 101–250: 9×9.
- Level 251 onwards: 10×10.
Every board has exactly one solution, and you can reach it with logic alone. A few cats start on the board to get you going; they cannot be moved.
Three lives, two kinds of help
You have three lives per puzzle. A cat placed on a wrong square is refused and costs a life; lose all three and the puzzle starts again. When you are stuck, a cross-out hint marks a square that cannot hold a cat (three per puzzle), and Hint places one correct cat. Free hints refill over time, and a short ad unlocks more.
Leaderboards and streaks
Solved levels earn points on the This Week leaderboard, with harder levels worth more, and the All Time board ranks players by the highest level reached. A daily streak rewards you for coming back.
